Researcher

Location: Multiple locations in North America
Function: The Research Professional supports all aspects of the Executive Leadership Solutions™ process, including candidate identification, business development and market intelligence.
Responsibilities:
  • Strong focus on identifying passive candidates through cold calling, networking, complex Internet searches, and internal or external research.
  • Sourcing of “active” candidates from online databases, contact lists, internal databases and referrals.
  • Act as functional area expert by understanding functional hiring requirements, position specifications, competitors and search requirements.
  • Duties will include monitoring the Internet and database, researching a broad range of topics (companies, people, industry trends, etc.), and entering relevant and appropriate data into Nosal Partners’ internal database.
  • Proactively conducting research and investigating new ideas to create innovative sourcing strategies.
  • Assisting in gathering information or creating documents for business development purposes, i.e., documents such as analyst reports, news, executives, board of directors, competitors, products/operations, financials, etc.
  • Ongoing search assignment/project work – creation of target lists, name generation, project management and maintenance, as well as other requirements.
Competencies:
  • Supports and aligns research with Nosal Partners’ strategic direction and/or client organization requirements.
  • Manages full life cycle of resources for a project from creation or acquisition through completion, including organizing, categorizing, classifying and disseminating.
  • Demonstrates expert knowledge of the content and format of information resources, including the ability to critically evaluate, select and filter appropriate data sources.
  • Provides information from the best available externally published and internally created information resources, and deploys content throughout Nosal Partners using a suite of information access tools.
  • Protects client and candidate privacy and maintains an awareness of, and responds to, new privacy challenges.
  • Maintains current awareness of emerging technologies that may become relevant tools of future information resources, services or applications.
  • Builds productive relationships with colleagues at all organizational levels of the organization, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to support multiple functions/business units.

  • Creation of talent pipeline from individual contributor to executive level roles across a variety of technology segments and/or industries, i.e., CPG, health care, financial services, human resources, etc.
  • Understanding or familiarity with various industry sectors, i.e., technology, financial services, biotechnology, industrial, consumer products, not-for-profit, diversity, etc.
  • Understanding or familiarity with organizational management hierarchy.
Experience:
  • High degree of familiarity with computer applications, especially Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Previous experience with an internal database is a plus.
  • Familiarity with various Internet search engines and excellent Internet navigation skills.
  • A college degree is required.
  • Executive or contingency search experience is a plus.
