Timothy Altaffer is a senior partner in the São Paulo office of Nosal Partners LLC, where he conducts senior-level assignments throughout Brazil and Latin America across a broad range of industries. Mr. Altaffer’s practice has a strong emphasis on consumer, life science and industrial clients, as well as on board positions.

Drawing from his own experience as a chief executive officer and as a senior management consultant, Mr. Altaffer brings to his search practice a deep understanding of the importance of the right leadership to create sustainable success, as well as a focus on delivering results.

Prior to his career in executive search, Mr. Altaffer spent more than 25 years in senior leadership positions in consumer packaged goods, life sciences and management consulting. Before joining Nosal Partners, Mr. Altaffer was a founding partner at the management consulting firm VEXXOR Strategic Ventures, where he provided strategic solutions and coaching to top-level executives in industry-leading companies.

His successful career includes over 10 years as a CEO leading change management and start-up initiatives at Bacardi-Martini do Brazil Ltda., Budweiser Brasil Ltda./.Anheuser-Busch International, Ducoco Alimentos S.A. and the Medical Nutrition Unit of Novartis Brazil. .

Mr. Altaffer’s early career includes business development, marketing, product management and sales positions at Suchard Brazil/Philip Morris International, Best Foods, Buitoni Foods Corporation and Lever Brothers Company.

Mr. Altaffer is a professor of marketing at the graduate school of business at IBMEC São Paulo University. He serves on the board of directors for Hospital Samaritano, for “Vida Jovem” (Boys’ Hope, Girls’ Hope), as well as for Special Olympics Brazil.

Mr. Altaffer holds a B.S. in Economics from Lehigh University and an M.B.A. in Finance from New York University. A United States citizen, he has lived in Brazil and Latin America since 1986 and has a deep understanding of Brazilian and Latin American business culture. In addition to his native English, Mr. Altaffer speaks fluent Portuguese and Spanish and has a working knowledge of French.
